Avoiding Temptation

by Eva
(from Forex Trading Beginner)

Me, staying up past 11pm.

Me, staying up past 11pm.

I have just closed my charts for the day, despite knowing that in all likelihood, there will be some trading opportunities in the next hour. Why? I've set myself a limit - I don't trade past 11pm. Nothing good happens (for me) after 11pm. If I stay up after 11pm, I turn into a pumpkin. Ha! Not really, but I'm about as functional as a vegetable the next morning if I do stay up past 11pm.

These temptations crop up all the time when manually analyzing the markets, and it takes so much self control to let go of the ego and say "yes, there might be money I'm leaving on the table right now, but tomorrow is a new day with plenty more opportunities."
